There's always been so many things that I've been yearning to do in New York. I mean, there are so many things to do in general, but certain things just feel like they would mean more to me. A couple of these adventures have come up recently, others I have been seeking out for years.

Because of external circumstances, which I guess can be buttressed by internal circumstances, I haven't gotten to any of these things yet. That's all going to change this year. I promise myself that by the end of this year I want to have done all of the things on this list and hold no one accountable but myself for it.

For so many reasons this has been at the top of my list for a long time. Aside from being a very "touristy" spot, it means much more than that. I have been to the Freedom Tower, the oculus and the pools many times before, but I just haven't been in for the One World experience and it's something that I know I will treasure. I have been wanting to do this since it opened and haven't been able to yet.

For those that don't know, the incredible One World Observatory experience starts at the ground floor of the Freedom Tower. After getting in an elevator and riding up to the top in less than 60 seconds, there's sweeping views of New York, a sky portal, theater experiences, a place to wine and dine and more.

There have been some seriously incredible looking exhibits at the New Museum lately that I have been hearing about online. The most notable one would have to be the Pipilotti Rist: Pixel Forest. I saw a video about this online and thought that it was insanity and just something so different. The Pixel Forest just had me rolllllling on the floor. The minute I saw it I just wanted to walk right through it.

Aparently, Rist's (the Artist), "...works envelop viewers in sensual, vibrantly colored kaleidoscopic projections that fuse the natural world with the technological sublime." I mean, seriously, how freaking magical does that sound. I think it would really take me out of the hectic/chaotic life that I know we're all living, and take me somewhere for a second to just take in a calming experience. Unluckily for me, the exhibit stopped on 1/15/17. Unreal how annoyed I am, but I guess I will just have to find something else to swoon over from the New Museum.

So definitely over the past year and a half, I have becoming slightly obsessed with food pictures and food videos on Instagram. I am constantly seeing incredible food all over the app and usually am looking for a way that I can try it somehow. The minute I see something I like, I either take a screenshot to remember (even with the new save feature, I wont remember) and then I tell friends about it right away. Sometimes they bite, sometimes I end up going to find it alone.

Eggloo is super interesting. It kind of reminded me of something I tried last year called "Taiyaki," which is also something I found on Instagram. Tayaki to me tasted like a sweeter version of a pancake and then you can choose what you get put inside of it, I chose Nutella. I tried it during the summer and it was the most delicious thing ever. I think partly because it was new. Eggloo reminds me of this but on a different level. You choose whether you want it cone style or sundae style and once you've done that, you choose your egg waffle flavor, ice cream flavor and unlimited toppings. The end result ends up looking incredible. Mulberry Street, here I come on cheat day!

So basically if you know me, you know I'm obsessed with flamingoes. I am not an animal person at all but if I had to choose one to be my favorite, I would choose flamingoes. They are pink okay. They are freaking pink animals and that is amazing to me. They stand on one leg and live in warm places, and that's pretty much what I aspire to in life. Anyway, getting back to Vic's.

Aside from having some incredible looking food (here's to you pizza and other things on the delicious menu), I need to see this flamingo bathroom that they have inside. We are destined to meet. Honestly, I have spent too much time sitting here wondering if they tell people or not where they got the wallpaper from because I can almost guarantee I am going to want to order it for my freaking bedroom for gods sake.

//The Ford Building

The incredible interior of the Ford Building has had me wanting to visit for a while now. I don't know if you know this about me (cough cough) but I am obsessed with plants and flowers. The inside of the Ford Building has beautiful greenery just pouring through it. I don't know if there's information about it inside the building, I would love to read that as well, but I just want to stand in the middle of it and be in wonderment.

This is just one of those places that I feel like everyone must visit once in their lifetime even though I have never been there before. I have seen it in countless movies/TV shows and everything just looks so beautiful that I need to be there ASAP. Not to mention how delicious the frozen hot chocolate looks, you know, that always helps. I'm on a diet, someone help me.

//New York Public Library

......BOOKS and beautiful scenery. I have been to the library before but I have never taken the time t truly explore it. I don't know if you've seen photos of how incredible it is, but there's so much t see and I want to see it all.Possibly, you know, rent some books while I'm at it because there's no such thing as too many books.

Honestly, I can see a perfect weekend being exactly this: making a trek to the library on a cold winter day, probably snowing because that's just a thing that happens all the time now, getting books, stopping somewhere for some delicious food (and don't think this is the day I want to try Vic's, there has to be a whole different day for that), stopping somewhere to buy a candle, and then going home. It just makes sense that way for me.

//The SeaGlass Carousel at The Battery

This is literally exactly what it sounds like. A SEAGLASS themed FRIKKIN carousel. Definitely meant for kids, but loved by me. They run on special winter hours because it's not as common this time of year, but I cannot wait to see this in real life because there is probably nothing in this world that would make me feel more like a kid than this carousel.

What kinds of things do you want to see this year? Tweet me! I think I might make this a series and maybe get super crazy and make these lists for other places that I want to travel to in the future. Xo- Brit.
