LUNCH TIME | CAFE COLETTE

I recently stopped at Cafe Colette in Williamsburg Brooklyn for lunch.  I have to be honest, I don't get to Brooklyn often so as I was presented with so many lunch/brunch choices upon exiting the subway, it was a little difficult to pick something.  I was happy I chose Cafe Colette and here's why.

Here is the simplistic menu that was beautiful and hosted a plethora of options, options that you don't see everywhere.  I was so happy with my choice, but I definitely can't wait to try the waffles when I go back.  They looked delicious too and who doesn't love waffles?  Also, just WAIT till you have the opportunity to read the whole menu.  I want everything. Mhmm, delicious.

I decided to go for the Market Frittata and it was a great decision.  Nice and light for a breakfast/lunch (brunch, duh) meal, and just enough to keep me energized for the rest of the day.  I didn't feel like I needed anything until dinner, it was great.  The eggs were perfect, nice and fluffy and just how I like them.  I was consumed with the menu and my email while I was ordering, so I didn't even get a chance to ask the waitress to over cook the eggs, which I normally do. They didn't come to the table overcooked or undercooked, they were just right for a frittata.

The vegetables were fresh and crisp.  It really reminded me of summer even though it's October.  I was very happy about that.  I wish I had time for a Mimosa or any of their other absolutely delicious looking cocktails, but I didn't.  I only had time for water, so that had to do!  The little side salad had a very simple dressing, also not heavy.  At times, I cut off a piece of the frittata and mixed it with the salad.  The blending of flavors was refreshing.  I ended up adding some Cholula to the frittata as well, it was the only hot sauce they had and I love hot sauce on eggs.  Am I the only one?  Let me know your egg topping of choice in the comments!  This is always an interesting topic.

The decor in the cafe was probably my favorite thing about the place.  I loved the atmosphere and the bar the most.  Pictured above is what the ceiling looked like.  So simple, but a cool/fun vibe.  Check out the gorgeous bar with a palm plant and photos right next to it.

With the bill came this cute little post card.  The other side was just framed photos.

All that and more on the corner of Berry Street!  I would definitely recommend checking it out if you are ever in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.  The people are nice, the bar is well-stocked with all kinds of awesome drinks, and the menu is unique.  It also has an awesome atmosphere to boot, which I always look for in a restaurant.  To me, that always gives it extra points!

Have you ever been to Cafe Colette?  Let me know in the comments or tweet me what your favorite thing off the menu is.  Also, let me know if you've tried any of their drinks.  I can't wait to try one of them next, I can't decide what I want to try because they all look so delicious. Thanks for reading!
