AFFORDABLE HALLOWEEN BANNER | DIY

With Halloween coming up, I have been trying to find some different ways to decorate my house other than the traditional pumpkin here, pumpkin there.  Don't get me wrong, I love pumpkins and I plan to get some this season, but I wanted to challenge myself to do something cute and I think I've done it.  Check out how I used Target Dollar Spot craft materials to make this adorable Halloween banner!

Start off with a plain, card stock banner that you can see, was $1 from the Target Dollar Spot.

These assorted crafting materials were all also from the Target Dollar Spot.  You will later see Baker's Twine used in the banner that I have apparently forgotten to photograph.  I also picked that up for $1 in the Dollar Spot.  There are so many different things in that section, so select what you want and get creative with it!

I hung the banner on the wall and was looking for something that didn't draw too much attention to accomplish this.  I found these lightly wood-colored push pins in the Dollar Spot that intrigued me.  They are working perfectly fine and I have a bunch left over to do something else!

As you can see, I just used all of the materials to make unique pennants along the twine.  I think it looks adorable and it's something that I can use year after year.  Better yet, I can just buy another $1 banner and make a whole new one!  Everything I used was from the Dollar Spot and I have left over materials to make other things, save for next year, or use for anything else!

If you recreate the banner, tweet me photos or post them on my Facebook page!  Looking for another affordable way to decorate for Halloween?  Check out my other Dollar Spot-made Halloween Tray.
