Pizza, Blonde, Nook, Weird

It has been a whirlwind past couple of weeks.  I'm so upset that I haven't had the time to write anything but I am so happy it's really hard to be THAT mad.  I can't believe that we are halfway through February already, it's incredible how fast time flies.  Before we know it, we'll be in summer.  I CANNOT wait.  Follow along with me on my journey of the past few weeks.

I tried to be a little more diligent taking some cute pics of my outfits/shoes.  This is the best I could really do.  Stalker pics on the train.  I got this adorable dress from Target, the boots are from Charlotte Russe.

I spent some time with the BFF.  She invited me to her family's after-Christmas Christmas party.  They normally do something like this every year.  I was so happy to be included, we had a great time.  We ate A TON of amazing food, drank lots of wine and champagne and just generally had a great time.  I actually dyed my hair platinum blonde (on my way to the silver that I want), I'm not sure if you can see it here.  Another picture is to follow!  Shoutout to Ally for being an amazing best friend and for such a great birthday celebration weekend and present.

I had to classically have some tea in my #muglife mug with some cookies while watching The Celebrity Apprentice.  Leeza Gibbons liked my photo *humble brag.*

Here's a pic of my hair where you can really see some of the changes.  It's not at all where I want it to be yet but it's on its way.  I cannot wait to get to the silver.  I have also been thinking about cutting it this weekend.  I hate that I've been thinking about that though because for the past year I have been saying that I never want to cut my hair again lol.  I always go through phases like this.

I've been reading up a storm lately.  I've recently finished up Lone Survivor, Dark Places, Big Little Lies and No Apology.  I'm starting A Spool of Blue Thread and I think I'll write another blog post dedicated to books soon and give little reviews.  I love reading, it's really incredible.  My Nook is the most amazing thing, it's the second one I've had as I got the very first one that ever came out.  I've been a fan since then.  The only thing I don't like is that I can't find another charger anywhere!  I want to have another one to take with me wherever I go, but I cannot find it anywhere.  Send me suggestions of where to find one?  I'll have to look online.

In other news, I had this amazing Nutella donut from Dough the other day and it was beyond fantastic.  I mean who doesn't love a powdered sugar donut with Nutella on the inside?  If you don't, you definitely have a huge problem and I AM judging you.

I wore a black and white chevron dress the other day which is normally just a summer dress.  It's a very light dress so I had to layer with a cardigan and some tights.  I chose to wear my black booties from Aldo that I am obsessed with and have had for 2-3 years now?

This was probably the one day of the week that I ate the best last week.  This cold pressed juice was fantastic, I wish I remembered what was in it.  The chopped salad was okay but kind of boring.  I guess thats the sacrifice you make when you choose healthy things sometimes lol.  Coconut cream yogurt can really never steer you wrong and this Trek Mix is my all time favorite.  There's something about the mango.  Mangoes are life.

This sandwich is from Cafe Prague and I have to say that I was relatively unimpressed with it.  It was good because it was plain, but I guess at the same time that was what I didn't love about it.  I thought the bread would be good too and it was just 'day old' tasting.  Maybe I'm too picky.

I finally decided to change my nails.  I don't know why I'm saying finally because I've only had the ones on the left for a week but I hated them.  I chose a color on the color wheel that was completely different, I think the person doing my nails used the wrong color.  They were mood changing so when they were getting done I thought the color might change ultimately but they never did.  I was so happy and excited to go back and get them changed to almond shaped and a purple/red.  I was going to go with just a regular red but the woman doing them said the picture I showed her for inspiration displayed more of a purple so I obliged.  I appreciated her input and it's actually good because I wanted something different than red for this Valentines Day!

Went shopping with Ally and we sat and talked about some details for her wedding.  She had gone to see a venue the day before and we sat and just DIED over the menu.  Classically, I had an eye doctor appointment on that day that I had made a month in advance and she hadn't told me she was going so I didn't go.  Let's just say I cannot believe it, the venue/menu is incredible.

We sipped on some wine and shared a few appetizers at the Cheesecake Factory, it was all delicious.

I got these adorable Pixi Pants from Old Navy and these shoes are Aldo.  On this day it was incredibly cold and snowing so it was a supremely dumb shoe choice but I don't care.  I just wanted to look cute and I really just want summer to come.

This day was so weird, I was in such a weird mood.  I posted this photo on my Instagram with the caption 'Woke up in a weird mood, wore a weird outfit.'  That's exactly how I felt.  Actually, both the pants and shoe are from Old Navy.  I'm beyond obsessed with Old Navy.

We had this incredible pizza for lunch this day.  I don't remember the name of the place but my boss was in the mood for thin crust pizza so he ordered a Margherita and  Mushroom White Truffle Oil, they were incredible.  I normally don't eat mushrooms but this year I have been trying to do new things and so far so good.  I've had shrimp, weird filet mignon things and now mushroom white truffle oil pizza.  So crazy, lol.  I know, I'm weird and picky.

I don't know why I am so obsessed with this picture.  I have been reading everything lately on my Nook so I guess I just wanted to pose for a selfie with it?  It's my Valentine, it is Bae.

Finally, I am just obsessed with this picture.  I took it going over a bridge at a green light (thank you captain obvious) and I know it was dangerous but epic with the fog.  I'll try to be more careful.

I hope you've enjoyed coming along with me for the past couple of weeks.  I'll be back soon, that's for sure.  Tweet me and let me know where your favorite place to take pictures is.  -Brit.
