I'm With The Brand: Clean and Clear

There are a couple of things that I have been absolutely loving lately that I had hardly expected to like AT ALL and for that I most definitely think they deserve the spotlight.  Knock on wood, my skin is normally not acne prone and I am lucky to not be one that obtains those massive pimples and breakouts.  Rather than them being so abundant, they are quite the rarity and nothing makes me happier.  Recently though, I don't know where it came from but I had about five RANDOM spots pop up around my face.
I had been thinking for a long time about trying some sort of toner for my face because I had only tried a random formula once before and to be honest, I don't think I was using it properly.  Destined to figure out a great one for very sensitive skin and to find one that allowed me to assist in healing my skin, evening it out and cleansing it at the same time, I headed over to Target.  I had one in mind.

These two scenarios brought me to the Clean and Clear section of the store.  I had heard about a toner from Clean and Clear years ago that a couple of people were talking about but I never actually believed that it would work for me.  What got me to change my mind?  It was $4 and for sensitive skin.  You know I am always on the look out for something that will work the best it possibly can for me and when it's that inexpensive, it just makes it all worth the while.

I had also been hearing people talk about the Clean and Clear Spot Treatment for a while.  Like I previously mentioned, I don't normally tend to have huge breakouts or anything so I didn't want to go insane buying something so expensive when I knew I wouldn't really use it that often.  Right next to the toner in the same area, I saw the Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment.  With a price point of $9 and a promise not to overdry the skin, it was in my basket in less than two seconds!

It's been a little over a week and I feel like I am definitely ready to talk about how much I love these two products.  Using them together has been absolutely amazing and like the packaging says, I have seen results in about one day.  I couldn't believe the healing power of the Acne Spot Treatment.  I was so happy to be able to use the product thinking that it would just assist my spots and have them disappear gradually but when they were gone in the next day, I was completely shocked.  Of course there was that same worry that it was going to effect my skins sensitivity, but it didn't at all and I was so thankful for that.  I applied the solution three times daily and I will continue to repurchase this when it runs out.  For about $9 and instant improvements in my skin, I could not be happier!

As far as the toner goes, I could not be more impressed.  It was a cleansing solution, so I was happy with the fact that I was able to treat my skin, but also be continuously cleansing it when reapplying the toner.  This toner reminds me of a slightly less aggressive astringent.  When I was younger, I used to use the Sea Breeze astringent/witch hazel to clear my skin completely.  Apparently, astringent is more of a bacterial cleaning agent and toner 'pacifies the acid mantel' that we have on our skin.  Sometimes when you wash your skin, that can come off and leave you with irritated-feeling skin.   The formula of this toner was pleasant, assisted the Acne Spot Treatment and just generally worked really well for me.

I couldn't be more excited about this power duo that helped get rid of my weird, random, popped up out of nowhere spots.  I am thankful that I was able to find reasonably priced products that are so readily available.  If you guys are using anything great for these ailments, let me know in the comments or send me a tweet!  Let me know if you've been using Clean and Clear products and if so which products are your favorite ones?  I want to check out their make-up wipes next.  Also, I hope you liked my first installment of a new series of something I'll be doing on the blog 'I'm With The Brand,' where I will celebrate a brand that I have been loving every once in a while!  Talk to you soon.  -Brit.
